Cotton Candy Kush is a widely cultivated Hybrid strain with distinctive flavours and a long-lasting sedative high. It is a cross between the exceptionally aromatic Lavender phenotype and Power Plant landrace hybrids from South Africa. It is known for having long, tapered nugs. The buds have a textbook Sativa structure with loose, fluffy leaves that can easily be ripped from the central stem. Their appearance is somewhat similar to the wispy spun sugar of cotton candy itself. Leaves are green and are speckled with pistils that change from white to pink as the plant matures. Shades of purple develop as the product of anthocyanin pigments in the plant’s genetics, which is triggered by cold temperatures during the growing process. The flowers are pleasingly sticky, proving the strain’s resemblance to carnival-bought cotton candy. When they are completely dried, these flowers will begin to smell sweet and juicy, almost comparable to candy. You can smell notes of rose and lemon beneath. This Cotton Candy Kush burns smoothly and tastes fruity and pungent, but with a faintly sweet aftertaste like bubblegum. The high starts quickly and then gently extends through the body creating a soothing feeling behind the eyes and throughout the body.
